LA MADERA Y OTROS MATERIALES DE VANGUARDIA

De entre las muchas webs de arquitectura y diseño que promueven el uso de la madera como uno de los materiales estrella del siglo XXI, la de Wood for Good es sin duda una de las más interesantes. Wood for Good es una iniciativa desarrollada por las industrias de la madera del Reino Unido. Sus objetivos son promover el uso de la madera como elemento constructivo y ofrecer ejemplos de sus posibilidades de uso en la arquitectura. En este sentido, el apartado de ejemplos recogidos resulta especialmente interesante por su exhaustividad: encontramos madera en viviendas unifamiliares de corte vanguardista; en proyectos de viviendas sociales; en rascacielos; en edificios públicos como aeropuertos o centros cívicos...
